Abstract
Issues related to constitutive modeling in finite deformation are discussed. In the present study, hypoelastic models in rate form with anti-symmetric spin tensors are shown to be converted to the linear stress-strain relation using corotated quantities, and clarified are the utilized stresses, strains and rotations in their constitutive models. Also discussed are non-coaxiality in constitutive equation based on the material spin model by introducing non-coaxial spin tensors progressing with deformations. The simple shear problem is taken as an example to demonstrate the effects of non-coaxiality.
