Abstract

Introduction: We decided to run a research on how level of physical activity affects the quality of sex life. Material and methods: The form consisted of original demographic questionnaire, short form of International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ-SF) to asses physical activity level, Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI) and International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF) for rating satisfaction of sexual life, adequately for women and men. For statistical analysis we used program “Statistica 13.3”. Results: We received answers from 255 women and 138 men. Among respondents 27 (10.59%) women had insufficient, 137 (53.72%) sufficient and 91 (35.69%) high level of physical activity and among men 22 (15.94%) presented insufficient, 53 (38.41%) sufficient and 63 (45.65%) high level of physical activity. Sexual dysfunction has been noted by 69 women (27.06%). Among men 26 (18.84%) manifested erectile dysfunction. The results of presented research showed no statistically significant relation between level of physical activity and sex life satisfaction (p > 0.05). Conclusions: Physical Activity do not impact on sex life satisfaction among young people. The presence of a permanent sexual partner reduces the risk of female sexual dysfunction.
