Abstract

The genus Tiniocellus Péringuey, 1901 comprises seven species, of which two are known from India until now. In this study, T. praetermissus Branco, 2010, is reported for the first time from India and from the Asian subcontinent. Diagnosis, description of male genitalia, specimens examined, distribution, and biological remarks for the new record are presented. An updated world checklist and key to Indian species of the genus are also provided.
