Abstract

The aim of this workshop was to consider the feasibility of an action research project on the use of Family Group Conferences (FGC) in planning and managing care leaving. The workshop was run twice during the conference and attracted an attendance of about twenty people in all. They were mostly practitioners but also included managers, trainers and an academic. They came from both the North and the South of Ireland, England, Scotland and New Zealand. What they shared was an interest in working with adolescents generally and care leavers in particular.
