Abstract

The article constitutes the presentation of the works included in this monographic number of the Creatividad y Sociedad review with reason of the 20th anniversary of the appearance of its number 1. It has three different parts: first, an approach, by the author, to the notion of creativity from Psychology. Secondly, the historical review of the systematic study of creativity in Spain, from the pioneering work of Professor Ricardo Marín who organized a World Congress of Creativity in Madrid in 1993; who for his deep dedication to the subject, creating a school, we all consider a pioneer in the study of creativity in Spain; The subsequent milestones that took place since that year are also mentioned consistent in meetings, congresses, postgraduate courses and doctoral programs on creativity in the Spanish university, highlighting the birth of ASOCREA, which is the publisher of this magazine. Finally, the article presents the following contributions: articles by people who have worked for the Association during these long two decades since its creation in 2000 and who have dedicated a large part of their research and teaching work to the study of creativity.
