Abstract
A glimpse into Africa seems to reveal that gender inequality between men and women is a public issue. In fact, men in African seem to have more rights than women in almost every sector. While men seem to be represented as the leaders, breadwinners, chiefs on top of everything, women’s roles in Africa seem to be limited to being household managers, mothers, and objects of pleasure and nurses of the families. In addition, there is a tendency for men to exclude women in key positions and decision-making in the communities, which simply marginalize women. I intend to examine the condition of women in Africa by putting a particular emphasis on their rights.
