Abstract

The article attempted to interpret gender problems in the context of modern child / youth prose on the material of Marina Pavlenko's novel "The Little Mermaid from the 7th, or the Curse of the Kulakovsky`s Family". An attempt was made to analyze the contrast between the real and the fantastic, "the world of adults" and "the children's world" in the text. Particular attention in the presented study is drawn to how the theme of love / first love in the art picture of child / adolescent text in contemporary Ukrainian literature is revealed.
