Some are shouting about the catastrophe in economics, the ecology, and culture; the threat to people's spirituality or its genocide, the downfall of the democrats, the end of reforms. Others are commenting—sarcastically—on what is happening in the tone of "successes and failures"—the title of a column in Kommersant where people write about culture. Although both points of view can be encountered on a single page, as a rule they are distributed among different publications. These are the two polar positions between which the public's moods swing.
