Summary

Introduction

Flies have been found to carry disease-causing organisms such as: bacteria, protozoa and helminths (Greenberg, 1971). Associated with the flies, there is a diverse parasitoids fauna which is responsible for the natural control of these flies. T he order Hymenoptera presents insects of great economic value, responsible for maintaining the balance of the so-called pest insects. T his order presents several families of economic importance, behaving like parasitoids (La Salle & Gauld, 1992).
