Abstract

Cleanliness is not the word that comes to our mind when we think of a community toilet. Everyone in India has the right to get dignified sanitation. But women in many parts of our Indian country struggle to find clean public toilets. A very big challenge in sanitation is building and maintaining clean toilets in villages because of limited resources. Unclean toilets are the major root cause for many contagious diseases which are hazardous for human life and so, toilets in public places have always been a major focus of concern. This paper addresses this problem by proposing a cost-effective model to promote our country’s “Swachh Bharat” project for a clean and hygiene toilet.
