Abstract

Abstract In smart transport system, Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANET) is considered as significant node. VANET is also depicted as one of the challenging topic to perform some transactions among the constituted network. Video transmission among the formed network is quite a difficult phase to handle. Different aspects are involved in the formation of networks and connect all of them to transmit some multimedia data. Various multipath routing protocols play a vital role in data transmission in VANETs. Routing protocols like position-based routing and distance-based routing are heavily used. Among the multipath environment, to identify the optimized path is the most tedious task to complete. Optimization of multipath routing can be possible by using some meta-heuristic algorithms. This paper covers the technique proposed for a multi hop environment and to select one path among many paths by using the Genetic Algorithm (GA).
