Abstract

• Formability analysis is one of the testing methods to analyze the plastic deformation under different load conditions of sheet metal. The sheet metal applications are increasing gradually in all sectors including automobile to marine. The sheet metal properties are improving through coating process. Particularly, strength and corrosion properties have been increased through coating process. Formability analysis is one of the testing methods to analyze the plastic deformation under different load conditions of sheet metal. The properties of sheet metal is mainly depends on plastic deformation. Strain rate is found through different factors such as load, punch angle and coating thickness. These factors are optimized by taguchi approach. The variance analysis is used to found the contribution percentage.
