Abstract

Abstract The aim of this study is to investigate the academic staff satisfaction with Electronic Assessments (e-assessment) in Saudi Electronic University (SEU) using an original self-administered questionnaire. A cross-sectional survey was carried out using an original standardized questionnaire. It involved 231 academic staff members at the SEU. The questionnaire consists of 17 items including: (the initial preparations for e- assessments, the skills of faculty members to employ e- assessments, the grading and/or monitoring permissions given to the faculty members, department’s chairs and deans at SEU. The results show that the level of academic staff satisfaction with the use of e-assessments in SEU high, as the highest rate of satisfaction was for grading and monitoring students’ status, and the lowest rate of satisfaction was the initial preparation for the e-assessment.
