Abstract
Early prevention of HPV infections is part of the primary prevention of cervical cancer. Vaccines are available to prevent long-term infection with oncogenic HPV serotypes. Also in the aspect of gynecology of developmental age, it is important that the doctor fulfills his tasks in the entire team of other doctors and the medical service, and the nursing staff is of particular importance in this team and in this field. This significance is expressed not only in providing care according to medical recommendations and performing typical nursing activities, but also in taking actions significant in the promotion of health and disease prevention, in pro-health education and in the context of sexual education not only of patients in developmental age, but also of their parents, caregivers. It is hoped that in the future the combination of screening tests and vaccination of anti-oncogenic HPV strains will reduce the incidence of cervical cancer. These activities are related to the holistic care of girls and women, which is always of particular importance, and during the covid 19 pandemic it has a special dimension.
