Abstract

The Concise Dictionary of Early New High German is designed as a pragmatic, user-friendly, easy and quick one-volume source of reference facilitating the understanding of German texts from the period between 1350 and 1600. It is designed as a reading aid not only for students of German but also for language historians, literary scholars, folk anthropologists and historians of science requiring assistance in understanding major literary works of various genres and types and specialist literature from the period in question.
