Abstract

This paper is devoted to wire media (WM) investigation for signal transfer devices. Such devices are promised for different applications as imaging, power or signal transfer, sensing etc. Here, the investigations show the possibility of the broadband power transfer of evanescent electromagnetic waves in the frequency range from 1 to 2 GHz. The enhancement in approximately 2.5–3 times was achieved. Also, in the work the shape of the propagation wave was studied. It was found that the signal does not suffer any nonlinear distortions and in the case of using of WM slab on can provide excellent coupling between the interaction ports. As a final result, the possibility of pixel signal transfer is shown that can allows using such structures as the multichannel communication systems as well as constructing the flexible screens.
