Abstract

WEDG (Wire Electrical Discharge Grinding) technology promoted the quality and efficiency of micro electrode manufacturing on position successfully, and realized the practical use of MEDM in engineering fields. And then a new type WEDG system is designed, the working principle of this WEDG system is analyzed and the control model of the WEDG system is presented in this paper. On the basis, a tension fuzzy controller is designed and the wire constant tension is achieved. The micro electrode manufacturing experiment based on this WEDG system is carried out, the results demonstrated that the WEDG system wire transportation is stable, wire tension is constant, and meet the requirement of manufacturing micro electrode(less 10um) on position very well.
