Abstract

The vibration signal sent out during the operation of transformer can reflect the internal mechanical performance state. If the state of core, winding and other vibration sources changes, the vibration signal collected on the surface of transformer will also change abruptly. Therefore, vibration signal analysis can be used as transformer live detection, fault diagnosis and other methods to guide maintenance. In this paper, the vibration signal of a 110 kV transformer during the short- circuit test is analyzed, and the results are compared with the traditional winding deformation test methods. Combined with the inspection after the test, the effectiveness of the winding deformation detection method based on the vibration signal analysis is verified.
