Abstract
The sailing catamaran towboats proposed in this paper would spread an enormous sailplan and would be able to develop tremendous tow rope horsepower. They would be true wind to horsepower converting machines of potentially enormous size. It is the author's belief that they could amortize their cost and show a profit far better than any sailing rig heretofore used or proprosed. The potential for fossil fuel conservation and large business profits would be enormous if these concepts were implemented.
