Abstract
William Bliss was a Nonconformist entrepreneur. However, his grasp of Christian faith was wide and had implications which exceeded the philanthropy of a successful industrialist.*This paper began life as a dissertation during ministerial training at Regent’s Park College, Oxford, in 1983, when the author was student pastor at the Baptist church in Chipping Norton.
