Abstract
We employ the gauge technique developed by Salam, in conjunction with the Schwinger‐Dyson equation for the quark propagator to study the Wigner‐Weyl and Nambu‐Goldstone realizations of chiral symmetry in Quantum Chromodynamics at zero temperature. We demonstrate that due to the presence of the transverse piece of the quark gluon vertex, the chirally symmetric Wigner‐Weyl solution is not realized.
