Abstract

To achieve large bandwidth log periodic antennas are effectively useful. To get large bandwidth log periodic antenna should be design carefully with impedance matching. One of the best techniques to get large bandwidth is chebyshev impedance matching in log-periodic antenna. In these paper log-periodic antennas is designed with four arms for the both circular and linear polarization. When the 900 phase delay applied between the two dipoles the antenna produce circular polarization. The antenna is operated at 3GHz and produces the band of operation from 2GHz to K/Ka band. But 5.1GHz to 5.8GHz frequency band is occupied for WI-Fi applications according to IEEE 802.11. So it is necessary to eliminate Wi-Fi band between 5.1GHz to 5.8GHz, for that we are using integrating filter method. The proposed log periodic antenna with four arm is designed and simulated by using High Frequency Simulation Software. The antenna parameters such as return loss, VSWR, axial ratio, radiation pattern measured between 2GHZ to K/Ka band.
