Abstract
AbstractA wide‐transmission band rasorber is proposed in this letter. The structure consists of an lossy layer and a lossless layer. Since we find that the center‐connected pattern can achieve a wider bandwidth than the loop pattern, the lossy layer abandons the traditional loop pattern but uses a center‐connected pattern to cascade multiple resonators. In addition, we proposed a new co‐use resonator to further broaden the bandwidth. The simulated results show that the proposed rasorber has a transmission band (S21 〉 −1 dB) from 6.3 to 8.57 GHz, and the absorption band (S11 〈 −10 dB) is from 1.9 to 5 GHz. A prototype was fabricated and measured to validate our design. The simulated and measured results show good agreement, which prove the effectiveness of our design method. Compared with the previous FSRs, the proposed FSR yields a wider relative bandwidth with fewer resonators and can be fabricated more easily.
