Abstract
In 2002, Hajj Muhammad Legenhausen published online paper entitled “Why I am Not a Traditionalist?”. In the paper he criticizes proponents of traditionalism or perennial philosophy. His critics grounded in theology and sociology and specifically on the history of European theosophist. He saw the traditionalists - such as Rene Guenon, Ananda Coomaraswamy, and Frithjof Schuon, Seyyed Hossein Nasr - criticism to the modern world are romantic and utopian characters. Indeed, his critics to the traditionalists have many mistakes and misconception and ignore the significance spatial-temporal and social dynamics in it. In this paper we will show the incorrectness of Legenhausen criticism. In addition, also be submitted suggestions or recommendations how and what things should be considered and viewed by the traditionalists when they embodied its normative principles and solve the socio-cultural problems that exist.
