Abstract
ABSTRACT A time study was conducted to monitor productive and nonproductive times during logging with a medium-capacity cable yarder harvesting whole hardwood trees in a clearcut. Prediction equations were developed to estimate the cycle time for the yarder, and yarding cost was calculated at $3.33 m3 ($7.33/cord @ 78 ftVcord) for whole-tree chips.
