Abstract
This article presents a comprehensive and practical formative activity aimed at bolstering students’ quantitative reasoning skills, specifically tailored for a Supply Chain & Operations Management course, within a collaborative group learning context facilitated by online platforms. While the focus is on Supply Chain & Operations Management, the outlined approach is versatile and can be seamlessly adapted to various subjects across online asynchronous courses that emphasize collaborative and cooperative group work. By offering a detailed framework for implementing group discussions and projects, this article significantly contributes to the pedagogical repertoire available to instructors striving to enrich student engagement, improve learning outcomes, and cultivate essential soft skills in online educational settings. Through this formative activity, students are not only equipped with enhanced quantitative reasoning abilities but also benefit from increased collaboration, critical thinking, and holistic skill development, thereby enhancing their overall educational experience.
