Abstract

This research seeks to understand the elaboration of Trans characters and narratives to be found in detective literature. Providing the theory behind the work, the researches of Jaqueline de Jesus (2015), viviane vergueiro (2015), and Guacira L. Louro (2003) will guide us through the Trans identities and the breakout of a gender binarism to trespass or to change the ideas of masculinity or femininity; in the same way that Carla Portilho (2009), Michael Holquist (1971) e John Scaggs (2005) will guide us through detective and crime literature; and, at last, Mehmet Murat Somer (2003), Renee James (2012) and T. E. Wilson (2015) will provide us the literature to be analyzed as the corpus of the research. This information will make it possible to see not only collective identity constructions, but also the way the Trans detectives can realize the actions and reactions of societies where hate and crime are side by side
