Abstract

Abstract An exploration of 210 Kuwaiti high‐school students' perceptions of their science teachers' classroom behaviour, personality traits and attitudes forms the basis for the construction of a new instrument ‘The Science Students’ Perception Questionnaire'. It was found that these students' views of the ideal science teacher corresponded very closely with findings of other research studies which attempted to use student ratings to measure teacher characteristics and behaviour in other classrooms and institutions.
