Abstract

Abstract This paper consists of an extended reading of Political geography: world economy, state and locality , with the intention of pointing to material that could be added in future additions of the book. A number of aspects of the text are questioned, including the need to incorporate more analysis of religion, and the misreading of the importance and impact of popular culture throughout the world. The paper ends with a brief case study designed to indicate how connections across geographical scales might be made more vigorously.
