Abstract

The feasibility study of using polycarbonate and poly(methyl methacrylate) substrates treated with the oxygen plasma for dichromated gelatin holograms is reported. The contact angles of water on both treated and untreated substrates were measured to indicate the wettability of substrate surfaces. An appreciable increase in adhesion between the dichromated gelatin film and the polycarbonate substrate after the oxygen plasma treatment was demonstrated.
