Abstract

The weighted oscillator strengths, (gf ) , of 104 new spectral lines belonging to the 5s5p 2, 5s 25d, 5s 26s and 5s5p5d, 5p 3, 5s5p6s transitions array in Xe VI, were computed using the Hartree–Fock relativistic approach. In this calculation, the electrostatic parameters were optimized by a least-squares procedure in order to improve the agreement with experimental energy levels. Calculated values of the lifetimes in the energy levels of the above-mentioned odd configurations are also presented.
