Abstract

This article explores and analyzes the current situation of social media use among Chinese college students, and points out that, except for some extreme cases, the use of social software does not bring too much negative impact on Chinese college students' offline social interaction under the premise of normal social media use. In the process of the analysis, special phenomena of Chinese college students' social media, such as "media independence", "intergenerational communication", "emoticon", and "WeChat Moment", are introduced.
