Abstract
The website http://www.blackdisabledandproud.org is now available to students looking for information, resources, and a supportive community for their multiple identities. A group of colleagues working in disability services from historically black colleges and universities and predominantly black colleges and universities, in partnership with the University of the District of Columbia, Howard University, Syracuse University, and the Association on Higher Education And Disability, launched the website to increase the number of black students with disabilities going to college, staying in college and graduating. The group seeks to “provide culturally responsive disability services and classroom instruction to Black and African American college students with disabilities on all campuses in the U.S.” The website was funded by a grant from the Department of Education's Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Resources, and the original Web project still exists at http://www.hbcudisabilityconsortium.org.
