Abstract
Summary We present a case of a wound dehiscence after subcutaneous implantable cardioverter defibrillator (S-ICD) removal caused by a wearable cardioverter defibrillator (WCD). A WCD is a temporary device used to prevent sudden cardiac death and is recommended as a bridge to implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) reimplantation. In our case, between the removal of S-ICD and the implantation of the transvenous ICD, a too tight WCD shoulder strap would cause wound dehiscence. We should pay attention to the size of the vest, and careful observation could reduce the damage to the wound.
