Abstract

High entropy alloys are the most recent and advanced class of materials that have drawn the attention of researchers and engineers due to their distinct and unique properties. HEAs are different from conventional alloys due to their different alloying approach as in conventional alloys two or three constituent elements are present whereas, HEAs constitute five or more principal elements in equal proportion as there is no difference between solute and solvent elements. HEAs derived their properties from well-established four core effects. HEAs can play a vital role in industrial applications as they have already proven their better tribological and corrosion resistance than traditional alloys. In this article, we studied different attributes that are crucial in improving wear and corrosion resistance properties.
