Abstract

The value of the longitudinal analyzing power A L in the low-energy pp-scattering is calculated. The model of strong interaction is used with the effective degrees of freedom represented as constituent quarks, ω- and π-mesons. The contact weak interaction of quarks is described by Weinberg-Salam lagrangian with the account of hard gluons. Such mechanism of parity violation is shown to give dominant (∼70%) contribution to A L. The value of A L calculated with account taken of both this mechanism and the P-odd ω-meson exchange proves to be close to the experimental one.
