Abstract
In this paper the techniques of renormalization of a spontaneously broken non-Abelian gauge theory are applied to higher-order calculations in the unified model of strong, weak, and electromagnetic interactions due to Pati and Salam. A brief resum\'e of these techniques and of the model is presented. In the rest of the paper higher-order strong- and weak-interaction processes are calculated to show that the processes which are suppressed in the tree-diagram approximation remain small in higher order and that the differences between hadronic and leptonic masses and weak interactions, which are absent in lowest order, arise from higher-order strong interactions.
