Abstract

This paper examines methods for increasing student motivation in Russian language classes. The strengths and weaknesses of students who have and have not studied Russian language in school are explored. The specificity of teaching Russian language at the university level is shown. Methods for enhancing student motivation in learning are proposed. Tasks that can be used in Russian language classes to boost student motivation are discussed.
