Abstract

In the modern world, the process of confrontation in the international arena is regularly complicated, it is becoming increasingly difficult for countries to maintain the role of leading powers and balance their international authority due to the emergence of various crises and threats. «Soft power» is a new way in modern geopolitics, designed to reduce the role and using of forceful methods of confrontation in favor of non-traditional methods - using of the non-state sector, the attractiveness of culture, traditions and political values in order to influence the societies of other countries, thereby increasing the image level. In the Russian foreign policy course, the concept of «soft power» occupies one of the important places in the priorities of developing of the level of authority and state image, however, for Russia, as a democratic state, the application of the methodology under consideration is a conceptually new vector, as a result, certain problems arise in practice. This article discusses the informational support of the «soft power» methodology of the Russian Federation. Problem areas are identified with methods of political analysis in this issue by comparing with the information support of the «soft power» of the United States and China.
