Abstract
AbstractA previous paper (Sen‐Gupta 1962, Pt. II) dealt with exact solutions of lee‐wave terms in the most general case for large displacement waves in stratified media. the present paper deals with a case less general, but involving simpler solutions, which may have wide application if one of the constants of the general case is made zero. Formal solutions are also given for generalized solutions to equations exploited in the previous paper, and these may have application if flow near the disturbing influence is to be studied.
