Abstract

A theoretical investigation is made of the process of wavefront reversal in a medium whose nonlinear properties are governed by heat evolution. The conditions ensuring a high nonlinear reflection coefficient are found allowing for heat conduction. An estimate is obtained of the efficiency of reversal in media with a thermal nonlinearity.
