Abstract
Due to rapid population growth, the Southern Nevada Water Authority (SNWA) recognized the need for a widescale program of water system improvements. A citizen advisory committee was formed to participate in developing the capital plan and to ensure that citizens were full partners in planning the future of water supply in southern Nevada. Public input was gathered during the design phases of the program to help prepare the framework for valleywide improvements, expansions, and new facilities.
