Abstract

The article analyzes the similarity of the scheme of using the instrument of political and economic sanctions by the United States against Iraq and Russia. Sanctions are seen as one of the main instruments of influence of the United States and the collective West on those countries that do not want to submit to the political dictates of Washington and its NATO allies.
