Abstract
Modern athletes follow rigorous conditioning programs that include complete warm-up routines and strength and power training. The components of a warm-up routine are discussed, and strength and power training are described in detail. Specific training programs for basketball, football, gymnastics, swimming, running, field events, weightlifting, and wrestling are outlined.
