Abstract

In this paper, a wall parameters measurement method is proposed for UWB(ultra-wideband) TWR (through wall radar). Then a wall compensation cross-locating detection method with impulse UWB radar is proposed as well to locate moving human. The configuration of the TWR prototype is described and moving target detection experiment behind wall is performed and the measured data is obtained to be analyzed. Experiment results indicate that the T-R-R (one transmitter and two receiver) UWB TWR can penetrate non-metallic wall to detect and locate moving target. Firstly, the proposed method can effectively reduce the location error caused by wall influence. Secondly, the advantage of the proposed method is high efficiency, because the tables can be done in advance and the detection process is looking-up tables. Finally the proposed methods is used for detection and the ideal detection result is obtained.
