Abstract

In this paper, the Motion Filter for moving target tracking detection is modified for UWB(ultra-wideband) TWR (through wall radar). A modification of the tracking point cohesion method for strongly offset targets is proposed as well. The configuration of the TWR prototype is described and moving target detection experiment behind wall is performed and the measured data is obtained to be analyzed. Experiment results indicate that the UWB TWR can penetrate non-metallic wall to detect moving target along range direction and the proposed method can effectively improve SNR(signal to noise ratio) and SCR(signal to clutter ratio). Finally tracking point cohesion method of amplitude sequencing is used for detection and the ideal detection result is obtained.
