Abstract

This manuscript describes biomanufacturing, future robotic surgery systems and practical application of robotic surgery. In biomanufacturing, biodesign, biomechatronics and biofabrication are discussed. The future robotic surgery systems are categorized into 3 generations. Microsurgery system, process innovation during surgery and teleoperation are introduced as the 1^<st> generation robotic surgery system. HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) system is introduced as the 2^<nd> generation system. In the 3^<rd> generation, microrobot is introduced. The necessity and importance of patient model is also discussed to accelerate the practical use of the robotic surgery system.
