Abstract

The study of archival documents and historical materials led to the study of the initial stage of the emergence of Islam in the Middle East and its further spread at the beginning of the VII century. The article analyzes the economic, social and ethnic characteristics of the region, its state in the pre-Islamic period and in the early years of the Caliphate.
