Abstract

Parametric models inherited from image synthesis are giving an opportunity to using artificial evolution as a parameter optimisation paradigm in image analysis applications. In this paper, we show how artificial evolution can actually widen the scope of the generalised Hough transform and how some newer evolutionary approaches can efficiently solve real-time computer vision, sensor fusion and robotics problems with little reference to more traditional methods.
