Abstract

The article considers volunteering as a phenomenon and an effective means for educating young people, characterizes and analyzes the features of volunteering in the field of cultural heritage. It is shown that volunteering as a social activity is aimed at providing altruistic assistance to those in need. The motivation of young people to participate in volunteer activities is diverse, since some young people are guided solely by civic duty some are driven by their own interests, while others express their desire to help and be useful. Most often, volunteers are guided by the desire to be needed. The author demonstrates the effectiveness of volunteering as a form of education.
